These are some of the designs I drew up for mine and Michaels ancillery task ( The Digi-pack), these designs will either be for the poster or CD cover, and we thought that if we drew up a few ideas it would help us see what looks best and eliminate those ideas that didn't.

Genre specific posters
From our research we can see that most dubstep artists posters or CD covers, have their name in them with some sort of style or effect on them and this is what we are trying to achieve whilst creating our CD and poster covers.
Due to the 'Take over' of the music scene by the internet, posters are being used less as a promotional tool. It is more likely to be used as internet advertising for example down the side of web pages because then it has a wider audience rather than a poster which would get far less views. Also, with internet advertising you can advertise straight to that audience for example advertising Nero on a dubstep forum, this would benifit the artist far more as you are advertising straight to the intended audience.
However we are tring to make an eye-catching poster which shouts dubstep, we want people to look at it and recognise the 'Nero' logo.
Poster research
These are some posters from other bands though not from the dubstep genre.
These posters are generally coloured using the shades of black and white. However me and Michael thought that this could be because the bands would not have had the technology available to them now. Also the singers are usually the main feature. The name of the band is also on all the posters but usually smaller.
More colour is found on Bob Marley's and the Ramones posters but these are because of obvious links like Bob Marley's cultural heritage. Different backgrounds on the posters include just plain black backgrounds to greyscale city views.
All of these conventions will be useful when producing our poster.

Storyboard..
This is our storyboard for our "Nero-Innocence" music video, we will be changing a few things around, however this was great to refer to at the time and helped us a lot! Throughout the project this storyboard has helped us a lot. For our editing we look at the timing of the shots and match them before we start puting filers and different effects on the clips. This helpes us get a rough draft of our footage so that we can see if we have enough footage and how the Narrative and performance part come together.
Problem with establishing shot and other news on shots..
Because each of the establishing shots are 30 mins long, it is going to take a very long amount of time to upload them to the mac. However, we will have to do it after school or in our frees etc.
After reviewing the quality of the narrative shots, they seem a bit dark, however we will try and ressurect this using editingEspecially in the fast cuts etc, it will hopefully be sorted.
After looking at some of the uploaded performance shots, we are extremelly happy with the quality and the range of shots, also we have filmed some conventional fill-ins, which are the moving projections to make it look more visually pleasing and not boring.

Problems with confirmation for filming CCTV
Last week i went into the local shop in Elsenham and asked whether I would be able to film the CCTV screen to give the sense of our victim being watched in our music video. Unfortunately, we were declined the permission by the manager of the shop "Chloe Fisher", this would have been a very interesing shot to use and would have benifitted us a lot in that it would assist the audience in understanding the narrative of our production. However, we have worked our way round this and have used other shots to suggest her being watched.

Performance shoot!!
We were very lucky when we did our performnce shoot, in that there was a pit gig including our genre at lunch time on the same day, this benifitted us as the lighting was already set up in a conventional way as well as the projections, as they were random and fast which looked great. Emma was very good, after she got over being a little shy at the start (which was unusual) and did everything we asked, we got a great variety of shots including silluettes and dancing. All of the conventions were included to make it look like a real video as we had help from Jay Khatri and Harry Stocking for the lighting and projections. We had a lot of fun filming and got everything we needed, now for the intense editing!
For the editing side of things, we filmed some of the projections that were up on the screens either side of the DJ set up and stage, as fill-ins. This was just incase we didn't have enough footage for the long song we chose. Also, it is conventional in this genre and stereotypical in nero videos to have futuristic CGI in music videos, and this is another reason why we did this.
